Join the Skylight Music Theatre team today! Not a bike rider? Join the team as a Friend of the Ride or ask us how to sign up for volunteer positions.

WHEN: Sunday, June 1, 2014

WHY: To help keep our performing arts scene a dynamic, diverse and vital part of our community’s culture. Pledges raised benefit the United Performing Arts Fund, a nonprofit, umbrella fundraising organization that supports 38 Member Groups and Affiliates in Southeastern Wisconsin. UPAF is among the nation’s largest united arts funds in terms of dollars raised and number of donors. Join others in our community who believe in the impact that the performing arts have on our economy, culture and children’s education.

WHAT: The Ride offers 5, 12, 25, 40 and 66-mile bike routes – something for everyone, from families to experienced riders. After the Ride, participants can enjoy the Finish Line Party at the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard Stage on the Summerfest Grounds. The party is free, includes live entertainment and is lots of fun for all.

WHERE: The Ride starts and finishes at the South Gate of the Summerfest Grounds, the intersection of Polk Street and Harbor Drive. The various routes travel past several Milwaukee landmarks and continue along the scenic shores of Lake Michigan through numerous Milwaukee-area communities and parks. This year’s Ride will feature the Daniel Hoan Memorial Bridge during the 25-mile Hoan route. The 5-mile route will head through Lakeshore State Park, the first and only urban state park in Wisconsin.
