ANNOUNCING YOUNG PERFORMER AUDITIONS FOR SKYLIGHT MUSIC THEATRE’S 2024/2025 SEASON!
Seeking Local Young Performers Ages 6-14
For Skylight Music Theatre’s Productions of:
WHEN: April 20 and 21, 10AM-5PM

WHERE: Skylight Music Theatre 158 N. Broadway Milwaukee, WI 53202

SEEKING: Young Performers who can sing/act/dance between the ages of 6 and 14
​
WHAT TO PREPARE: Please sing a selection of a song of your choice NO LONGER THAN 90 SECONDS. This will be a capella (no accompanist provided). We can offer speakers for digital accompaniment – but that is not required.
​
ALSO: Please prepare to read this scene – you may choose to read either Oliver or Artful Dodger regardless of gender identity. Please use a British accent if you are comfortable doing so. People auditioning for Oliver and Artful Dodger will also be considered for all roles – including the young performer ensemble for Oliver! and William (Victor Frankenstein’s younger brother) in Frankenstein. We will be double-casting all youth roles.

Character Information
Oliver Twist: 8-12. Male. A lonely young orphan in the workhouse. Longing for a home and a family. Sweet but with an innate strength. Strong boy soprano voice. British accent.
The Artful Dodger: 13-15. Female or Non-Binary. The cleverest pickpocket in Fagin’s gang. Daring, industrious, outgoing, sly, smart. Cockney accent. Strong voice.
Ensemble: 6-14. Any gender. Fagin’s gang, workhouse boys, street vendors, and others. Looking for a wide range of personalities and types. Strong voice and dancing a plus.
